Questions about Tiny Strings & Private Lessons

I don't have a violin, what are my options?

There are several options for finding a violin.  Locally, Celina Music Store and Rettig Music have monthly rentals. Online, Baroque Violin Shop, is a rental company that sends a violin to you.  I've had good experiences with all three shops! I also have a few violins that I can rent to your student for the duration of the class for $10.00, the sizes of my instruments are limited.

How do I know what size violin my child needs?

This is a great video to watch and measure your child!  There are several different sizes of violins, so please be aware of what size your child needs before renting or purchasing a violin.  https://www.baroqueviolinshop.com/violin-rental

Do you teach older kids?

I do teach privately.  Please contact me at jessicadavisartist@gmail.com for private lesson inquiries.

Do you teach adults?

I do! Eventually, I'm aiming for an adult group class!

Do you offer scholarships for Tiny Strings or Private Lessons?

Scholarships are available on a first come first serve basis for the Wapakoneta Tiny Strings site.  Please inquire about scholarships by emailing Jessica Davis at jessicadavisartist@gmail.com.

Do I need a musical background to help my child?

You absolutely do not need a musical background to help your child in Tiny Strings! In fact, the caregiver that accompanies his/her child to class every week will learn right along with the student!  Learning music is a fantastic way to develop language and fine motor skills!
